This was the first project we undertook for this busy and expanding family. These clients – no strangers to design themselves, having recently completed their own hotel in the Cotswolds – wanted to create a colourful, happy environment for their young family to grow up in.
When we joined the team, this project was already underway with the architects and contractors creating a slick, simple modern white interior – a perfect foil for the riot of colours and textures which were to come next.
Bespoke green and purple wallpaper was designed and commissioned for the hall, stairs and landings whilst heavy linens were dip dyed to create two toned curtains in the dining room and sitting room and a fabulous 70’s inspired floral design was commissioned for a rug. Combined with design classics such as Saarinen’s Tulip table and chairs set into the bay window for playing bridge, this flamboyant house cannot help but to bring a smile to everyone who comes through the door.
