On this new build family house and farm buildings in the Cotswolds, we are working with local architects to create a set of vernacular buildings that will combine traditional building methods with the latest services and materials. Sustainability is at the core of this project and as such the proposed design includes for the use of ground source heatpumps, bore holes and rainwater harvesting, the reuse of structural elements from the existing farm buildings and, in due course, architectural salvage including reclaimed stone quoins and flags, timber beams, old doors and reconditioned ironmongery.
